Schema Info
The Info subview of Schema Structure shows a schema's definition, what it contains, and how much space it uses.
MySQL #
The main pane shows the schema's CREATE DATABASE statement. The sidebar beside it has:
| Section | Shows |
|---|---|
| Defaults | The default values which affect newly-created tables. |
| Summary | How many tables, views, functions, procedures, and triggers the schema has. |
| Data Usage | Space used by data, by indexes, and in total. |
The defaults are the only editable part of this view. The CREATE DATABASE statement, Summary, and Data Usage are read-only.
| Default | Runs |
|---|---|
| Character Set, Collation | ALTER DATABASE. This changes the default for tables created later, but existing tables keep their own. To change a single table, use Table Info. |
| Encryption | ALTER DATABASE … DEFAULT ENCRYPTION |
To change a schema's defaults
-
Select the schema in the sidebar.
-
In Defaults, choose a new Character Set, Collation, or Encryption value.
